What these numbers are
The wait Disney is posting at the entrance to each ride, read from ThemeParks.wiki. That is the queue they advertise, not the queue as measured — it is usually close and occasionally generous.
How current
A Raspberry Pi records every five minutes while the parks are open and rebuilds this page afterwards. The header says how old the readings are, and keeps counting while the page is open. If it turns yellow, the readings are more than half an hour old — the Pi could not reach the API, or has stopped publishing — and you are seeing the last good fetch.
The line under each wait
How this wait compares with what that ride usually does at this hour, from months of collected history. 45 min means nothing on its own: it is a good day for Rise of the Resistance and a bad one for Space Mountain.
- Green — shorter than usual for this ride, now.
- Red — longer than usual.
- About usual — within 5 minutes and 15% of the typical wait. Both, because a fixed five minutes flags every headliner for ordinary drift and a fixed percentage flags a walk-on for gaining ninety seconds.
- ▲ ▼ — which way the queue has moved over the last half hour.
No line means there is nothing honest to say: fewer than 3 days of history for that hour, or the ride is not reporting a wait.
